What is MOD Rate?
Workers' compensation insurance premiums are based on a multiplier kown as the experience modification (MOD) rate. A MOD rate of 1.0 represents that an employer's injury/illness rate is equal the their industry's average rate, while a MOD rate of less than 1.0 indicates a rate better than the industry average.
Powered Industrial Truck Update: A new operator training section of this standard,1910.178 (l), was published in the December 1, 1998 Federal Register. It requires a training program that is based on the trainee's prior knowledge and skill, the types of powered industrial trucks used at the workplace, and the operator's demonstrated ability to handle a powered industrial truck safely.
